Louise and her husband have been busy.
Louise's husband was taken to Skagen to look for things for their future boutique. Skagen is farthest north in Denmark. The city with the most hours of sunshine and a fantastic light. The city with the most unique nature and many white sand beaches. At the end of 1800, there were a bunch of painters that made the area famous. The painters were tendons known as the Skagen painters.
It's definitely one of my favorite places. We look forward to see if he finds something.

It is Krøyer who painted the famous picture. Hip Hip hurra, is the painting called, It fits the celebration of my blogs followers. |
I have helped Louise to renovate their bed, cabinet and dressing table.
The cabinet has been painted, sanded and painted with new color, so many times, that there is almost no wood left. Now it is painted in a slightly dusty pink color. Decorated with lace and we have made small boxes drawer.
The bed must remain in its dark color. There's been rough embroidery fabric on the ends, so it gets a little French look. We have made linens and pillows again in the slightly dusty pink color.
The makeup table is one I bought, along with a lot of other furniture I bought it at a market, of a elderly lady, she got it as a child of approx. 50 years ago. I think the table is something special, I like the arches and I the rack, it makes the makeup table extra charming. I have given it to Louise. She has painted it. It was with a wide lace away when I bought it. We discuss a little about how it should look. With or without blond edge? The lace was all white, I colored it in coffee to get the little dusty color up. It worked.
